Only Connect 2 also offers supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and supervision for other mental health practitioners at universities such as wellbeing advisers, mental health advisers or disability advisers. Supervision is a way of providing ongoing professional input into a counsellor's work. All counsellors are expected to have supervision, and professional bodies usually require at least 1.5 hours per month.

Supervision has three main functions:
